Siberia Hills

The band Siberia Hills, formerly known as Siberia, was established by the popular actress and singer Natalia Simakova in Russia in 2007. The band describes its music as disco-indie-rock.

Rolling Stone Magazine calls Natalia “the rock diva of a new generation”. Alan McGee, the producer of Oasis, compares her to PJ Harvey, while other American producers see her as a new Patty Smith.

In 2008 the band went to London to create their first album “Storm”. Natalia was offered to co-operate with producer Alan McGee, who then organized the band´s first club performances afterwards.

In 2009, Fabrice Dumont, the composer and founder of the French trio “Telepopmusic”, mixed one of the band´s songs called “My friend is dead”. In 2010, Siberia Hills moved to New York City, where the band looked for new musicians and started working on a new album.

Natalia started working with two studios from New York City called Avatar and Ultrasound, where she improvised and mixed completely incompatible styles. Despite the hard work at the studios, Siberia Hills performs actively in several clubs NY such as Mercury Lounge, The Pianos and Camello Gallery.

The album “Gorgeous”, recorded in the USA, was launched in Russia in 2014. This album became the starting point for the band’s success. After a successful tour and performances on prominent stages in the U.S., Canada and the UK, the band went back to Russia to start working on their first Russian album.
